Work and education related to parenting education:
Jerri Wolfe has spent the past twenty years working to support the healthy growth and development of children. She has taught courses for parents seeking strategies for working with their children and developed and taught courses for early childhood students, childcare providers and parenting educators. Two of her books for parents, I'm Two Years Old! and I'm Three Years Old! have been translated into four languages and published internationally.
Currently, Jerri chairs the Parenting Education Department at Linn-Benton Community College in Oregon's Willamette Valley. The department is an active partner in the two-county service district, providing parenting support to at-risk families through collaborations with County Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol agencies and Healthy Start, Relief Nursery, the Department of Human Services, local schools, and other agencies. As chair, Jerri oversees the department's parent-child classes, parent-cooperative preschools, and evidence-based parenting programs that support 2,200 families yearly. As part of a Safe Schools Healthy Students grant, Jerri facilitates the development and implementation of plans to improve support service accessibility for families with young children in rural Linn County, including access to developmental screening, mental health consultation, and parenting education opportunities.

Activities you are involved in:
Jerri serves as the co-chair of the Education Workgroup of the Corvallis-Gondar (Ethiopia) Sister Cities Association, where she works with officials and educators in both cities to improve the school experience in Tsadiku Yohannes, a K-8 serving 4,000 students in Gondar.
